Trains to Nailsea & Backwell

Nailsea and Backwell train station serves the village of Backwell and the nearby town of Nailsea with regular Great Western Railway services operating on the Bristol to Exeter Line. Trains to Nailsea and Backwell operate half-hourly in each direction, one on the Bristol to Weston-super-Mare service and one on the Cardiff Central to Taunton service. On Sundays, trains operate once an hour instead. Additionally, in the early mornings and evenings, services from London Paddington call.

Facilities at Nailsea and Backwell include a large station car park, cycle storage facilities and metal and glass waiting shelters on both platforms, along with bench seating for passenger comfort. As Nailsea and Backwell doesn't have a staffed ticket office, passengers wishing to travel from the station should purchase their tickets from the self-service machines installed on the north side of the station. Train-running information is provided via digital display screens and automated announcements. There's step-free access to the eastbound platform only.
