Trains to Mount Vernon
Mount Vernon Railway Station serves the Mount Vernon area of Glasgow with regular ScotRail services operating on the Argyle Line. Trains from Mount Vernon run every half-hour to and from Dalmuir, Mondays to Saturdays. One train each hour extends to and from Motherwell. On Sundays, these trains continue to run, albeit on an hourly basis instead of half-hourly. Dalmuir-bound trains depart from platform 1, Motherwell- and Whifflet-bound trains depart from platform 2.
Cycle storage spaces are provided for customer use at Mount Vernon Station. As there are no ticketing provisions at this station, tickets must be purchased ahead of time or on board from a guard. Train running information is provided on digital departure and arrival screens and automated announcements. Waiting rooms with plenty of seating are installed on both platforms. A payphone is located on platform 2 inside the waiting shelter. There is step-free access via ramp to both platforms.
