Lockwood train station is a single platform station in the south of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. Opened in 1850, Lockwood station is on the Penistone Line, which features four historic bridges including the Grade II-listed Lockwood Viaduct. Trains to Sheffield run every hour, the fastest taking one hour and 13 minutes. Trains to Huddersfield run every hour and take around four minutes.

The Penistone Line runs between Huddersfield and Sheffield serving rural villages in West Yorkshire. A series of local walks take you from one station to the next, through the stunning scenery of the Pennines.
