If you're taking the train to Llanelli in Carmarthenshire, you can expect some great scenery. Whether you're coming from the east or west on the West Wales Line, keep an eye out of the window for stunning views of the sea and estuaries along the South Wales coast. And if you're arriving from the north on the Heart of Wales line, you'll travel through some spectacular landscapes on a route skirting the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
Llanelli's town centre is about a 12-minute walk north of the station, or you can get a bus from Station Road that takes about 6 minutes. Alternatively, head west to reach the beach and the start of the Millennium Coastal Path, a 13-mile walking and cycle route with spectacular views of the Gower Peninsula. Parc Y Scarlets, the home of the town's famous rugby team, is about three miles away.
