Trains to Little Sutton

A quiet but historic halt on the Wirral Line, Little Sutton Railway Station serves the village of Little Sutton close to Ellesmere Port in Cheshire with regularly-scheduled Merseyrail services. Trains from Little Sutton depart at least half-hourly all week, Sundays included, for both Liverpool Central from platform 2 and Ellesmere Port from platform 1.  

A charming Tudor-style station building constructed of sandstone with tall chimneys, moulded plinths and porch with entrance arch, Little Sutton is a National Heritage List for England Grade II listed building. Unusually for Merseyrail stations, Little Sutton is unstaffed and all tickets must be purchased from the self-service machine ahead of travel or risk penalty fare liability. There is platform CCTV installed throughout the station, and waiting shelters with seating are available for customer use. Train running information is provided via digital departure and arrival screens, and a payphone is available for customer use by the entrance to platform 2. Both platforms have step-free access via ramp, but interchange within the station is by staircase only.
