Trains to Langside

Langside train station serves the Langside and Newlands areas of Glasgow with ScotRail trains operating on the Cathcart Circle and Glasgow-Newton Line. Typical off-peak service sees trains from Langside operate hourly, with one train operating each direction every hour between Glasgow and Newton and an additional train on the Cathcart Circle. Except for the Cathcart Circle services, this pattern holds on Sundays. Newton-bound trains depart from platform 1, while Glasgow-bound trains depart from platform 2.

Passengers travelling from Langside train station may stow their cycles at the station’s cycle storage facility located on the island platform ahead of travel. Two waiting shelters are installed on the centre of the platform for customer use. Tickets may be purchased or collected at the self-service ticket machines located inside the waiting shelter. Train-running information is provided via digital departure screens and automated announcements. The island platform is accessed via stairs only, and so is not suitable for those using wheelchairs or prams.
