Trains to Knighton

Lying just on the other side of the Shropshire border, Knighton Railway Station serves the Welsh market town of Knighton with regular Arriva Trains Wales services on the Heart of Wales line. During the week, four trains from Knighton run daily in each direction, northbound to Shrewsbury and southbound to Swansea. In early mornings, Monday to Friday, an additional fifth train runs to Llandrindod Wells before returning to Shrewsbury. On Sundays, only two services call each way.  

Knighton Railway Station has a free station car park with spaces for ten vehicles. As there are no ticketing provisions at this station, passengers should take care to purchase tickets for travel from Knighton ahead of time or on board the train from a conductor. A basic waiting shelter with bench seating is installed on the platform; train running information is provided via digital display screen with departure information and from the helpline. There is step-free access over pavement to the station platforms via ramp and level access.
