Trains to Kirknewton

Kirknewton Railway Station serves the village of Kirknewton in West Lothian with trains on the Shotts Line and West Coast Main Line. The station is managed by ScotRail, who operate all passenger services there. Hourly trains from Kirknewton operate in both directions towards Glasgow Central in the west and Edinburgh Waverly in the east, Monday through Saturday. On Sundays, six trains operate in each direction. Although technically falling on the West Coast Main Line, Main Line services pass through Kirknewton only and do not stop. 

Facilities available for customer use at Kirknewton Railway Station include cycle storage with space for 18 bicycles and a small station car park. As there are no ticketing provisions at this station, passengers should take care to purchase tickets for travel from Kirknewton ahead of time or on board the train from a conductor. Train running information and customer updates are provided on digital arrival screens and by automated announcements. Waiting shelters with bench seating are provided for customer use. There is ramped access to platform 1 and level access to platform 2.

From the station, you can reach Jupiter Artland in about 30 minutes on foot. If you don't fancy the walk, you can catch the X27 bus from Raw Cottages (about an 18-minute walk from the station), for a total journey time of 22 minutes.
