Kingsknowe Railway Station serves the Kingsknowe area of Edinburgh with regular ScotRail service on the Shotts Line between Glasgow and Edinburgh. One train from Kingsknowe departs every hour between Glasgow Central to Edinburgh Waverly. Two trains from Edinburgh terminate at Motherwell, and an additional train runs between Glasgow and North Berwick. Trains for Edinburgh depart from platform 2; trains for Glasgow depart from platform 1. On Sundays, a two-hourly service operates to Edinburgh and through to Glasgow.
