Opened on 31 December 1905, Horley's red-brick train station in Surrey, serves the town of the same name, which is the next stop on the line from London Gatwick. On the Brighton Main Line, there are regular passenger services to London Bridge, London Victoria, Horsham, Bognor Regis and Portsmouth Harbour, with an additional night service running between Three Bridges and London Victoria.
Although classified as a commuter town thanks to its links with London and its proximity to Gatwick Airport, Horley is also home to a lively business district of its own, boasting several industrial estates. For locals and visitors alike, Horley shopping caters to most tastes in the independent shops and national favourites that line the long high street and Victoria Road.
While the Archway Theatre, a minute's walk from the station, puts on a number of professional and amateur productions throughout the year, a walk through Riverside Garden Park along the River Mole is a treat in any season.
