Trains to Heworth

Heworth train station sits close to several transport links including the Tyne and Wear Metro station, Heworth Park and Ride bus depot, and a taxi rank is also available near the station. The station has two platforms with daily services running to Middlesbrough, Hexham, and Seaham. Heworth is unstaffed with no facilities to purchase a ticket. From Platform 1 services arrive hourly en route to Middlesbrough, stops on the service include Sunderland, Seaham, and Stockton. The journey time for this route is around 1 hour and 10 minutes. On platform 2 services run westbound towards Hexham with stops including Newcastle and Metro Centre, this service is available Monday through to Sunday. 

Northern manage services and operations at Heworth. Access to the station is via ramps which can be used by wheelchair users unaided. Both platforms provide seating for passengers awaiting their train service at this station. There is access to the metro station from platform 1.
