Trains to Hessle

Lying in the East Riding of Yorkshire, Hessle train station serves the town and civil parish from which it draws its name with regular Northern trains operating good service on the Selby Line. Trains from Hessle depart hourly in each direction with extra trains at peak times. These trains depart mainly for Hull and Doncaster. Some continue past their normal termini for Bridlington and Sheffield, and one evening service runs to York. On Sundays, two eastbound and three westbound trains from Hessle operate.

Station facilities at Hessle are minimal. Those with bicycles may store their cycles using the CCTV-monitored stands present at the station. As there are no ticketing provisions of any sort present at the station, those wishing to travel from Hessle should purchase tickets in advance or on board the train from a guard. Waiting shelters with seating are installed on both platforms for customer use and comfort. Both platforms have step-free access, and platform interchange is via a ramped footbridge.
