One of two stations serving the Heath district in Cardiff, Heath High Level Railway Station sees regular Arriva Trains Wales services along the Rhymney Line in conjunction with Coryton Line services operating on the Low Level. In typical off-peak hours, four trains from Heath High Level operate in each direction each hour. Northbound trains run to Bargoed with hourly extensions to Rhymney, and southbound trains run to Cardiff Central and Penarth. This service becomes half-hourly in the evenings and two-hourly on Sundays when southbound trains also extend to Barry Island.

Facilities at Heath High Level Railway Station include ticketing provisions via self-service ticket machines that are fully accessible. Prepurchased tickets may be collected at these ticketing machines. Train running information is provided via digital departure and arrival screens. Basic waiting shelters are installed for customer use on both platforms. Access to both platforms is via stairs and ramps, making it unsuitable for wheelchair users. Passengers requiring greater accessibility should travel via Heath Low Level and transfer when possible.
