Trains to Hamble

An unstaffed halt lying on the West Coastway Line, Hamble train station serves the nearby village of Hamble-le-Rice with regular South Western Railway services. Trains from Hamble depart approximately once an hour in each direction, throughout the entire week. These services operate between Portsmouth (from platform 2) and Southampton (from platform 1). Passengers requiring onward travel by bus should seek the bus shelters located just to the north of the station on Hamble Lane.

Facilities at Hamble train station include self-service ticket machines from which passengers may obtain tickets for destinations across the United Kingdom and validators for smartcard users. Waiting shelters with bench seating are located on both platforms, and there are customer help points provided for passenger use. A cycle rack is located on Platform 1. There's step-free access to both platforms via footpaths, however, on the platform 2 side, the ramp has a rather steep gradient.
