Trains to Halesworth

Halesworth train station serves the small Suffolk town of Halesworth with regular Abellio Greater Anglia services on the East Suffolk Line. Typical off-peak service sees trains from Halesworth depart once an hour in each direction towards Lowestoft and Ipswich. On Sundays, this frequency drops to once every two hours. One weekday early-morning train extends to Harwich International with a return in the evening.

Although managed by Abellio Greater Anglia, Halesworth station is maintained by volunteers from the East Suffolk Lines Community Rail Partnership. The original postwar reconstruction of the station buildings still stand but are in use as a museum. Customers can use the car park and cycle storage available onsite. Additionally, both platforms have waiting shelters and bench seating available. Tickets may be purchased from the ticket machines present at the station. Train-running information is provided by digital departure and arrival screens. There's step-free access via a barrow crossing.
