Situated in one of Grimsby’s oldest sectors, Grimsby Docks Railway Station serves the Freeman Street area with regular Northern trains service on the Barton Line. Monday to Saturday daytimes, trains from Grimsby Docks operate two-hourly eastbound to Cleethorpes and westbound to Barton-on-Humber. An early morning train running from Scunthorpe to Cleethorpes calls here. There is no service on winter Sundays and limited service (four trains per day) on summer Sundays.
Station facilities at Grimsby Docks are limited, with basic amenities including bench seating, a waiting shelter, train running information via timetable poster board, and a public telephone. Passengers wishing to travel from Grimsby Docks should purchase their tickets in advance or on board the train from a guard, as there are no ticketing provisions at the station. There is step-free access via the station car park to the platform. Tickets may be purchased with the PlusBus scheme to enable onward travel via bus.
