Thirteen miles north of Glasgow, Greenfaulds Railway Station provides the Greenfaulds area of Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire, with regular rail service by Abellio ScotRail along the Cumbernauld and Argyle Lines. Throughout Monday-Saturday daytimes, trains from Greenfaulds depart twice an hour to Dalmuir via Glasgow Queen Street and Yoker, once an hour to Dalmuir via Motherwell, Hamilton Central, Glasgow Central, and Yoker, once an hour to Glasgow Queen Street, and four times an hour to Cumbernauld with one extension to Camelon and Falkirk Grahamston. On Sundays, an hourly service operates between Cumbernauld and Partick.
