Trains to Glenrothes with Thornton

Glenrothes with Thornton train station sits on the Fife Circle Line and is the local station for residents in the town of Glenrothes and the village of Thornton. The station has been open to passengers since 1992, and there are daily services available to the city of Edinburgh. There are three trains per hour that stop at this station and continue to Edinburgh (Waverley), this service increases during peak periods. Two trains arrive per hour on a Sunday and the fastest journey time is 1 hour.  

You can access both platforms via ramps, platform 1 is accessible from Main Street, and the entrance to platform 2 is through the station car park. Facilities at the station include a car park free to passengers travelling from Glenrothes with Thornton train station, shelters are available on both platform, and departure screens are in use for live updates. The station has no facilities to purchase a ticket. Abellio ScotRail manages all services at this station.
