Situated just under 5 miles east of Glasgow city centre, Garrowhill train station is a stop on the North Clyde line. This line runs directly across the south of Scotland, connecting the capital to the second largest city, Edinburgh. Trains depart from platform 2 and head northwesterly arriving in Glasgow in roughly 15 minutes. Trains will then either continue along the River Clyde towards Helensburgh or northwesterly towards Balloch. Services departing from platform 1 will head eastbound toward Edinburgh. All services from this station run on a half-hourly schedule.
The station has a ticket office which is staffed Monday to Saturday during working hours.
