Garforth train station is the larger of 2 stations which serve the local village of Garforth. It lies on the Selby line and is located in the city of Leeds metropolitan borough, just over 7 miles from the city centre. Trains travelling eastbound are a short 15-minute journey away from Leeds, with this service then continuing on to Huddersfield and Manchester. Platform 2 offers services travelling westbound to stops including York, Selby and Middleborough.

Garforth train station has a heated waiting room and a ticketing office which is open from 06:00 to 14:00. If passengers arrive out of hours and require tickets these can also be purchased from machines provided. Refreshments are available from the Station house cafe situated in the grounds of the station. If passengers arrive by car there is a large free car park. Disabled access is available to platform 1, but please be aware that platform 2 does not provide any step-free access.
