Since opening in 1970, the station has been known as Falmouth, The Dell and now its current name Falmouth Town. The central location of the station means that many of the town's attractions are nearby, including Falmouth’s waterfront which is just a five-minute walk away. Fox Rosehill Gardens is also just seven minutes on foot from the station.
