Edinburgh Gateway railway station opened in December 2016 and provides a vital rail and tram interchange to Edinburgh Airport. There are services every 30 minutes calling at the station on the Fife Circle Line - the line between Edinburgh and Fife and a further hourly service connecting the station to Perth, Dundee, and Inverness.
