Edge Hill Station is located on Tunnel Road in Edge Hill, Liverpool. The station is served by Northern Rail with services running between Liverpool Lime Street to Manchester Piccadilly. The station is the second of its name, with the original Edge Hill Station opening in 1830 running up until 1836. The station has two island platforms (four platforms in total) which feature an original building from 1836 making Edge Hill – one of the oldest railway stations still in use today. The station is located a short walk away from Wavertree Botanical Gardens and is situated two miles outside of Liverpool City Centre.
Edge Hill is a four-platform station, with platforms 1 and 2 joining platforms 3 and 4 via subway. The station features a 20-space car park which is located directly outside the station. Bus stops are located a short walk away from the station on Tunnel Road. The station is reached by a short cobblestone path.
