Trains to Ebbw Vale Town

One of two stations serving its eponymous region in Wales, Ebbw Vale Town train station serves the Ebbw Vale town centre and acts as the terminus of the Ebbw Vale Railway. Trains from Ebbw Vale Town operate hourly. One train departs Ebbw Vale Town and runs to Cardiff Central via Llanhilleth, Newbridge, Crosskeys, Risca, Rogerstone, and Pye Corner at approximately forty minutes past the hour. This journey takes roughly an hour. Select services continue past Cardiff to Swansea, Bridgend, or Maesteg. On Sundays, these trains operate every two hours via the normal route.

Plans are in the works to convert service at Ebbw Vale Town to half-hourly and increase the station’s traffic with a second platform. Station facilities at Ebbw Vale Town include cycle storage, self-service ticket machines, and customer information updates via help points and departure screens.
