Trains to Devonport (Devon)

Devonport railway station sits in the neighbourhood of the same name just a mile or so west of central Plymouth along the Tamar Valley Line and the Cornish Main Line. It was opened in the mid-19^th century by Cornwall Railway, through it was later incorporated into the Great Western Railways some 30 years later. Between the ‘40s and ‘60s, the name was changed to Devonport Albert Road, though this was later changed back to its original name. The station sits below street level and is accessed by a long step-free ramp. It is operated along with the trains that pass through by Great Western Railway. There is at least one service an hour to Plymouth in 5 minutes and Penzance in 2 hours 4 minutes.
