Crouch Hill railway station makes up part of the London Overground network and is nestled on a hill of the same name in the north of the capital. Its two platforms sit on the Gospel Oak to Barking line and is in the London Travelcard Zone 6 making it possible to use the Oyster travel card at the station. Unfortunately, though the station is over a century old, the original buildings were demolished. Today, facilities include digital displays, a passenger announcement system, Oyster card machines, and shelters on both sides of the tracks. It’s accessed via steps leading down from street level. Though there is no ticket office at the station, there are staff on the platform during peak hours. There are at least four departures an hour to Gospel Oak in 9 minutes and Barking in 28 minutes.
If the sun is shining when you step off at Crouch Hill, you could make a beeline for the well-manicured Finsbury Park where you can walk or cycle along the pathways or go boating around the lake.
