Trains to Cressing (Essex)

Cressing railway station lies near Braintree and serves the little villages of Black Notley and Cressing in Essex. Like many stations in the UK, it was opened in the mid-19th century by the Eastern Counties Railway firstly for goods traffic and then passenger services a few months later. Its original name Bulford was later changed to Cressing in early 20th century. It’s a one-platform station which is long enough to serve a nine-carriage train and still has one of the original red-brick buildings and overhanging roof intact. Along with the trains, the station is run and managed by Abellio Greater Anglia. There are only a few facilities here including bench seating, station lighting, and timetable posters. Throughout peak weekdays, there is an hourly direct service to Braintree in 7 minutes and London Liverpool Street in 53 minutes.  

When you disembark at Cressing, you’ll be just moments away from the challenging Notleys Golf Club, an 18-hole course located in the valley of the River Brain.
