Coatbridge Central Railway Station serves the town of Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire, with regular Abellio ScotRail service on the Motherwell to Cumbernauld Line. Trains from Coatbridge depart on an hourly basis in both directions, southbound to Motherwell and northbound to Cumbernauld, along with interworked Argyle Line services originating at Dalmuir and continuing via Clydebank and the Hamilton Circle. Trains do not operate on Sundays. Freight trains frequently pass through the station due to the container terminal located north of Coatbridge.
