Trains to Cathcart

Originally opened in 1894, Cathcart train station is located 3.7 miles (6km) south of Glasgow Central on the Cathcart Circle Line. The station is served by ScotRail services on the Glasgow Central to Neilston line and the Cathcart Circle Line itself. Two trains per hour are provided on the Glasgow Central to Neilston line seven days per week. In addition, on Mondays to Saturdays, one train per hour in both directions is provided on the Cathcart Circle line. Journey times to Glasgow Central are 13 minutes.  

Cathcart train station has an island platform with access by subway and steps. There is a staffed ticket office. In 2014 the postcode area of Cathcart was voted one of the most attractive places to live in Scotland. The mainly residential area contains a mix of red or blonde sandstone tenements, terraces and villas and is located near to the second largest park in the City of Glasgow: Linn Park. The park has recently been declared a local nature reserve and provides the community with a network of paths and river walks.
