Bursledon train station is on the West Coastway Line, serving the Hampshire village of Burlsedon with train service to Southampton, Portsmouth and Brighton. It is located close to the quay, near the M27 which crosses the River Hamble nearby.

Prior to 1870, Bursledon was home to several shipyards where Royal Navy vessels were built. It still retains some of its historical maritime connections; there are a number of yachts moored at the village quay and several thriving local boat related businesses, including The Elephant Boatyard which has been in existence since 1786. The village, including its Jolly Sailor Pub, were used as filming locations for Howard’s Way during the 1980s.

Bursledon train station was built in 1889. An hourly service operates every day, with additional trains at peak times on weekdays. Popular direct train services travel to Southampton in a time of 25 minutes, and Portsmouth, a journey of 35 minutes. The station itself has two platforms and a ticket machine for purchasing or collecting pre-booked tickets. The platforms are connected by a footbridge over the line; there is no step-free access to platform one.
