Burscough Bridge train station is a stop on the Manchester-Southport Line, one of two railway stations serving Burscough in Lancashire. Trains to Manchester depart every 30 minutes, with a journey time of around an hour to either Manchester Piccadilly or Manchester Victoria stations. In the other direction, trains to Southport take a minimum of 14 minutes. Sunday trains from Burscough depart hourly.
Burscough Bridge train station was opened in 1855 and several of the original buildings still stand, though these are now privately owned. It has two platforms and both can be accessed by steps from the nearby Liverpool Road or directly from the adjacent car parks. Local transport connections can be made at the bus stop just outside the station for passengers wishing to continue to Burscough Junction. A small station café and ticket office existed at the station between 2005 and 2016 but closed due to lack of funding. However, the cafes and shops at the Burscough Wharf retail development are just a short walk away.
