Tucked between Port Glasgow and Greenock, the Bogston Railway Station serves the surrounding area with frequent service along the Inverclyde Line to and from Glasgow. Trains from Bogston depart at half-hourly intervals, eastbound to Glasgow Central some 22 miles away and westbound to Gourock, six miles away. Westbound trains depart from platform 2, while eastbound trains depart from platform 1. In the evening and throughout Sundays, this service operates on an hourly basis. The station and all trains serving it are managed by Abellio ScotRail.
Passengers using Bogston Railway Station may stow their cycles at the station’s bicycle storage facilities, or else access the station via bus. Smartcard validators are available, although other ticketing provisions must be sought elsewhere. Waiting shelters are present on both platforms; platform 2 for westbound trains also has seating available. The station is accessed via stairway, and so Bogston is not suitable for passengers requiring step-free access.
