Trains to Berry Brow

Berry Brow Railway Station serves several of Huddersfield’s suburban villages, including the eponymous Berry Brow, Taylor Hill, Armitage Bridge, and Newsome, via the Penistone Line in West Yorkshire. A relatively new station, Berry Brow opened in 1989 as a replacement for the original Berry Brow, which closed some twenty years prior. Today the is managed by Northern, who also operate all services from the station. Trains from Berry Brow typically depart on an hourly basis, both northbound to Huddersfield and southbound to Penistone and Sheffield. On Sundays, this service operates every two hours.  

Berry Brow Station is unstaffed, and all tickets must be purchased in advance or on the train from a ticket agent. Timetable posters, digital display screens, and seating are available for customer use on the platform; passengers may call the helpline for assistance during normal hours of operation. Step-free access is available to the platform via a steep ramp.
