Trains to Bedminster

A primary stop only a mile west of Bristol Temple Meads, Bedminster train station serves the districts of Bedminster and Windmill Hill with regular Great Western Railway services along the Bristol to Exeter line. Most popular among these services is an hourly weekday train between Bristol Parkway and Weston-super-Mare, calling at all stations. At peak hours, additional trains between Cardiff and Taunton or Exeter may call at Bedminster as well. Trains from Bedminster westbound call at Parson Street, while eastbound trains call at Bristol Temple Meads. Saturday services follow a similar pattern, and Sunday services are reduced with no trains departing in either direction until the afternoon.

Bedminster station’s facilities are minimal but modern. The station’s two island platforms serve three through-lines. Amenities include waiting shelters and seating on both island platforms, customer help points, payphones, and cycle storage. Tickets cannot be purchased at Bedminster and should be obtained before travel or from a ticket agent on board.
