A request stop along the West Highland Line, the compact Beasdale train station serves Glen Beasdale in the Highlands. Originally constructed as a private station for nearby Arisaig House, the station opened to public use in 1965 and has been in regular service since. The original station building is currently in use as a private holiday residence, but the station platform and rudimentary facilities thereupon remain railway property under Abellio ScotRail management.
During the weekday, four trains from Beasdale depart for Mallaig; this number drops to three trains on Sunday during summer and one train in the winter months. Three trains a day depart Beasdale in the opposite direction for Glasgow Queen Street via Fort William; another train terminates at Fort William with connections to Glasgow, Edinburgh, and London Euston. In the summer, two Glasgow trains and one Fort William train operate on Sundays, dropping to a single Glasgow-bound train in the winter. Station facilities are minimal, but a shelter and seating are available on the single platform.
