Trains to Bearsden

Bearsden Railway Station serves the town of Bearsden in East Dunbartonshire, close to Glasgow. In an unusual twist of naming conventions, the town was named for the station, not the other way around. A small but well-connected station, Bearsden’s two platforms see regular service on the Argyle and North Clyde lines to Glasgow Central and Edinburgh Waverly respectively. During the daytime, trains from Bearsden depart every fifteen minutes; two of these continue to Glasgow, the remaining two for Edinburgh. Only Glasgow-bound trains run in the evenings and on Sundays. Additionally, northbound services for Milngavie depart every fifteen minutes during the day and every half hour during evenings and Sundays.

The station has good facilities, including bicycle storage, a carpark, a daytime staffed ticket office, self-service machines, refreshments and shops, waiting rooms, and assisted step-free access to both platforms. Seating is available on both platforms, and a shelter is set up on platform 2 opposite the ticket hall.
