Battersea Park station lies at the junction of the South London Line and the Brighton Main Line, in the London Borough of Wandsworth. The station is notable for its beautiful, Grade II listed Venetian Gothic fronting, and the area surrounding it is packed with shops, pubs and clubs. It’s also home to the iconic Battersea Power Station and the hugely popular Battersea Park, an extensive riverside park with a boating lake, childrens’ zoo and regular summertime events.
Battersea Park runs regular services to London Victoria – just minutes away – and south to Sutton, with additional services to Epsom, Caterham, London Bridge and Highbury & Islington. While the station consists of five platforms, not all remain in constant use. The old wooden platform 1 is out of action, and platform 5 is only used to ease congestion during engineering works. The station is set for a facelift as part of the redevelopment of the Battersea Power Station site.
