Barton-on-Humber train station serves the town of Barton-on-Humber in North Lincolnshire. Once the terminus of a branch line from New Holland, today the station is the terminus of Barton Line services from Cleethorpes. The station is about 23 miles west of the resort, and a bus service to Hull operates from the nearby bus station. The station itself is unstaffed and features basic amenities, including a waiting shelter and seating, timetable posters, and step-free access. Tickets must be purchased in advance or from a ticket agent on board.
Monday through Saturday, trains from Barton-on-Humber operate two-hourly to Grimsby Town and Cleethorpes. During the summer, four arrivals and departures operate on Sundays. The line is free of freight traffic; only passenger trains, typically of the Class 153 variety, serve the line. The village of Barton-on-Humber has a number of Grade listed buildings, including the Saxon tower at the Grade I listed St Peter’s Church.
