Trains to Barry Docks

One of three stations serving the town of Barry in South Wales, Barry Docks Railway Station is located on the Cardiff Central – Barry Island branch approximately seven miles south of Cardiff Central and one mile north of Barry Station. Services from Barry Docks are operated by Arriva Trains Wales as part of the Valley Lines Network; Arriva also manage the station. 

Monday through Saturday, trains from Barry Docks depart every fifteen minutes northbound to Cardiff Central and beyond (alternating between Merthyr Tydfil and Aberdare). Three trains per hour operate southbound to Barry Island, and an additional train operates hourly to Bridgend via Rhoose. Eastbound services to Cardiff Central continue for other valley lines routes. In the evenings and on Sundays, half-hourly services operate to Cardiff Central; hourly services operate to Barry Island and Bridgend in the evenings, which drops to half-hourly for Barry Island and every two hours to Bridgend on Sundays.
