Albany Park train station was opened in 1935 and has changed very little since that time. Situated in a largely residential area, the station connects the Borough of Bexley with central London. Trains to London Cannon Street and London Charing Cross take around 35 minutes and the fastest journey to Gravesend is just 27 minutes.
Albany station is located near a small commercial area and the Albany Hotel, which also dates from the 1930s. Despite being home to over a hundred parks and open spaces, there is no ‘Albany Park’ in Bexley.
Trains operated by Southeastern stop at Albany Park train station regularly: four times an hour in each direction during weekdays and more at peak times. Evening and Sunday services pass through twice hourly. There are two platforms connected by a covered bridge, with seated waiting areas and vending machines for passengers.
London buses serving routes 229, 269 and B14 also stop at Albany Park station.
