Talk about a relaxing way to travel and a memorable rail experience. Choose to take the train from London to Munich and bask in the beauty of the scenic countryside route along the way. Whilst flying may be quicker, you’ll be able to take more luggage, sit in more comfortable seating, and see more of the countries you’re travelling through when you take the train. Plus, you’ll arrive right into the centre of Munich, so you’re perfectly placed to head straight to your hotel once you arrive.
As there are no direct train services from London to Munich, you may have to make a couple of changes, but that won't cause much trouble, as you’ll travel on high-speed Eurostar, SNCF and Deutsche Bahn trains along the way. The journey takes around nine hours in total, and it a great opportunity to stop along the way in France if you fancy it. It’s also a much eco-friendlier option than flying if you want to take your time travelling from one capital city to another.
