Frecciarossa Standard Class features
Frecciarossa Standard Class (or Livello Standard in Italian) has the same seat layout of Premium Class – 2x2 rows – but offers cloth rather than leather seats. Armchairs are wide and reclining and all come with a folding table and power sockets.
Free WiFi is available on board – simply connect your device to the FRECCE Entertainment Portal, and you can watch movies and TV programmes, listen to music and check travel information.
If you wish to work undisturbed or simply relax, choose the new quiet carriage in Standard Class – you'll get to enjoy complimentary earphones, a double welcome drink service, an onboard library and a sleeping mask.
Frecciarossa Standard vs Business, Premium and Executive

Food on Frecciarossa Standard trains
Want to try tasty Italian gourmet meals while travelling around Italy by train? On Frecciarossa Standard trains, you can buy one of the three Easy Food menu options – Breakfast, Snack and Meal – which will be served at your seat. Make sure you have the Viva la Mamma Box from the Meal menu, which includes a fresh pasta main course, typical of the Italian cuisine. You can book your favourite menu option, either online or by paying when on board.
Alternatively, you can grab a bite from the café-bar counter called FrecciaBistrò – coffee, tea, croissants, sandwiches, salads, fruit salads, desserts and other snacks are available.
How to buy a Standard class ticket
To buy a Frecciarossa Standard ticket, choose your departure station, arrival station and travel date in our Journey Planner above.
