Getting from the station to Skegness beach
It takes around 15-minutes to walk from the station to the beach, just head out of the station and onto Lumley Road, keep walking until you reach the roundabout and clock tower and you'll be able to see the beach ahead of you.

Public transport in Skegness
Getting around Skegness couldn’t be easier – upon leaving the station, there are bus stands and taxi ranks with transport ready to take you anywhere in the town. The Skegness Seasiders are open-top buses that'll take you between the train station, Butlins, Fantasy Island and Ingoldmells. Buses leave Skegness Interchange at around 06:00, with the last bus of the day departing at just after 23:00.
As Skegness is a relatively small town, getting around by bicycle is easy too. The train station features a covered bike rack with room for up to 10 bikes, so it is simple enough to leave bikes there while exploring the nearby area for shopping or eating. Skegness, with its unspoilt coastline and seaside attractions, is the ideal spot for cycling along the seafront.

The majority of Skegness’s attractions are within easy walking distance of each other. Once you leave the train station, turn right and head towards the beach where you'll find the classic arcades of Harris Amusements and PLR Leisure, as well as a delightful art deco cinema, all situated on Lumley Road. Skegness Clock Tower, Skegness Aquarium and Skegness Model Village are all within a stone’s throw of each other, situated next to the Boating Lake, which is perfect for a leisurely sail in the sun. All of these attractions are within a 10-minute walk from the train station.
A 6-minute walk further up the North Parade gets you to the Natureland Seal Sanctuary, a wonderful experience for all the family. From there, you can catch a Skegness Seasider open-top bus up past Butlins to Fantasy Island amusement park, which offers roller coasters and more gentle rides to suit all ages. The bus journey from the Seal Sanctuary to Fantasy Island will take about 15 minutes.
