Catering to over 1m passengers every year, London Luton Airport is one of the UK’s busiest airports. To save on costs, many choose to take the bus to get there. The airport is located right in the heart of Bedfordshire, and it has excellent direct bus connections both from London and the rest of the UK.

National Express run regular buses into the airport from major British towns and cities. All buses stop outside the terminal, right next to the entrance to Departures.

Getting to London Luton Airport by bus

Using Trainline, you can book cheap bus tickets from major locations in the UK to London Luton Airport in just a few clicks. This will save you money on taxis and airport parking, meaning you’ll have more to spend on your holiday. We recommend that you book tickets well in advance to get the cheapest fares.

National Express runs a direct coach service from London Victoria Coach Station to Luton Airport, stopping in London City Centre (Marble Arch) and Golders Green on the way. The journey time is approximately 40 minutes and ticket prices start at £5. National Express also run regular services direct to Luton Airport from Oxford, Birmingham, Cambridge, Coventry, Leicester, Northampton, Sheffield, Milton Keys and London Heathrow Airport.

For those with an early flight, regular shuttle buses run to a nearby Holiday Inn hotel.

Things to do in London Luton Airport

Although London Luton Airport only has one terminal, there’s plenty of facilities to keep you entertained and help you relax before your flight.

You’ll find all the regular stores, such as WHSmith, JD Sports, Marks & Spencer, Boots, Accessorize, Monsoon and Kurt Geiger. For eating and drinking, there’s also Burger King, Starbucks, Krispy Kreme, Caffe Nero, Pret a Manger and Bar Des Voyageurs. The check-in desk is to the right of the entrance to Departures and there’s a currency exchange nearby.
