You can easily get to Lyon Airport with a TGV high-speed train operated by SNCF from Lyon Part-Dieu train station. As there’s no direct train to the airport, you’ll need to change at either Valence Ville, Avignon TGV or Grenoble. The journey lasts about 3 hours. Lyon Airport has one train station – Lyon St-Exupéry TGV – which can be found between Terminals 1 and 2. There are five platforms served by 20 daily TGV trains that connect Lyon to Paris (journey time is 2h) and many towns of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Provence regions.

If you have a lot of time before your flight and don’t want to move around the city with your luggage, you can leave it at the Baggage Service office you can find at Terminal 1. The office is open from 06:00 to 22:00.
