Travelling by train to the Williamson Art Gallery & Museum is super-simple. The nearest railway station to the Williamson Art Gallery & Museum is Birkenhead Central, which is served by Merseyrail services throughout the day. It's 22 minutes to the Williamson Art Gallery & Museum on foot. Just head left out of the station along Borough Road, turn right at Balls Road East. Stay on Ball's Road and then turn right onto Slatey Road and you're there.

The Williamson Art Gallery and Museum is a family-friendly space, with changing contemporary exhibitions and collections reflecting local and national heritage and arts. The gallery hosts an active programme of workshops and activities for both adults and children - visit the Williamson Art Gallery & Museum website for the latest details. The gallery is also home to a delicious cafe (cash only) and shop stocking work by local artists and craftspeople. In addition, local independent businesses Artfix and Oxton Books have premises in the foyer.
