Travelling by train to the Southampton Hall of Aviation is super-simple. The Southampton Hall of Aviation began as the RJ Mitchell Memorial Museum in 1974. Since then, it has expanded to include all aviation in Hampshire and on the Isle of Wight, the region known as the Solent. It now houses many aeroplanes, including the Supermarine Spitfire, which was designed and built in Southampton.
