The Quantock Hills are designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and popular with walkers, bird watchers, outdoor explorers, and locals alike. Known for panoramic views across the north Devon countryside and coastline Quantock Hills has something for everyone.
Getting there by train is fairly straight forward and you can alight at Taunton before making your way up into the hills by taxi, bus, or on foot. You might though want to consider taking a steam train into the Quantock Hills. If so climb aboard the West Somerset Railway at Bishops Lydeard. There's a bus link between Taunton station and the WSR which operated by First Somerset and Avon Bus, look for the number 28 service.
