The nearest train station to the Principality Stadium, formerly known as Millennium Stadium, is Cardiff Central Station. This is approximately five minutes walk from the Principality Stadium. Cardiff Central Station operates several mainline connection routes to and from London, Birmingham, Manchester, South West England and West Wales.

The Principality Stadium (previously known as the Millennium Stadium) was opened in June 1999 and has hosted many sports and cultural events from the Rugby World Cup to the Tsunami Relief Concert. It has capacity for 74,500 supporters and features a retractable roof for those sunny days.
