You can easily reach Nelson Monument by train. The nearest station is Edinburgh Waverley, which is served by LNER, Scotrail, TransPennine Express, CrossCountry and Avanti West Coast. Once you exit Edinburgh Waverley, simply head out of the station exit between Sainsbury's Local and The Balmoral Hotel and turn right onto Princes Street. Continue onto Waterloo Place and follow the road round until you see the monument on your left on Carlton Hill.
